AWESOME. Love the middle panel. It perfectly sums up being a kid on Halloween!

2. Greg Bulmash

Even in reality mode, it’s still a fairly rockin’ costume. Yay Gil’s mom.

3. A.L.

Best robot costume ever. Also it’s kinda said I got Gill’s reference and I’m not that big of a SW dork.

…like IG-88 HAS a heart…

And Greg’s right: Gill doesn’t even need to look through “kid goggles” for that costume to look awesome.

Everyone else has already taken my adjective… so I’ll repeat them, ==> That is *SO* awesome

Gill’s mom is the best. He’s going to remember this for the rest of his life. Hope, the school lets him take a “weapon” to it.

While the coloration of this strip is fantastic, I’d rather prefer Gill in black and white if the reduced workload ensures a long-lasting consistent update schedule.

8. Norm

Coloring the strip isn’t what prevented me from updating regularly this week. It was my workload combined with family functions and events.

I fully realize and accept the consequences of not keeping a regular deadline. Some people will lose interest. I’m fine with that.

@Norm-I think as long as YOU are satisfy with your work and you try to stick to a regular schedule and not always making a bunch of excuses when you don’t (outside the legitimate ones of course),I think everyone will be fine with that.

I know that I’LL take Gill whenever I can get it and be thankful.

Well, I won’t lose interest, but in my opinion your comic does not really need to be colored and you could save some time and maybe create a strip buffer this way.

I think the color is an awesome bonus. I know from a little bit of experience that thinking up, drawing, and inking a comic strip is well over 90% of the work. Coloring takes time, but realistically, NOT coloring is NOT going to create more time to make more strips. I find that I can still color when my brain is too fried to be creative in coming up with and drawing a new concept.

So we should consider it a bonus, not time taken away from more Gill strips. Also, the lens flare rocks that middle panel, Norm! Sweet!

I love the costume, I love the return of Gill on a regular basis, and I love having it in colour!

Thanks Norm, and Happy Halloween!!

That’s a great observation about Halloween! You know the kids are looking at themselves in the mirror just like that. My daughter and stepdaughter were so picky about their costumes it was crazy.
Thank you for the color. Given the quality of your work, I doubt you’ll lose readers for taking the time to give us this for free.

15. A.L.

Hmm,Novil does have a point, but doing that will effectively also allow you to do color strips as well.Everyone wins :3.

Hell, even if you posted a new comic once a month, I still look forward to reading it.

Thanks for bringing Gill back!!

I wish my robot costume when I was his age looked half as cool.
