Hee, hee, there are some things that set a child off, and there are things that don’t. Reaping the consequences of one’s own actions probably makes sense to him! =^^=
It just strikes me as very accurate to how Gill would respond in real life. Dad already hinted that he was in pretty big trouble with the law, so this news wouldn’t be a big shock to him… but running out of cereal, now THAT’S a problem!!
Holy crap… started reading from the beginning, and now it’s 2:50 AM… son of a… got stuck in a time warp there, I guess…. *bookmarks to slide right back into the warp later*
Oddly enough, that’s about how I handle situations like that, too.
This is my favorite story arc so far. A great look at the personalities of your characters and perfect joke timing.

It’s almost as if Gill expected this a long time ago. ~ Joelyn Alexandra
Priceless Gill response . . . just found, read and love the whole comic!

Norm, you are so wonderful at creating vivid, realistic, yet funny characters. Gill’s reaction is priceless — and perfect!
I think most people who know Gil’s dad are probably pretty surprised he didn’t end up in jail a long time ago.
Just take it in stride Gil. Not like ya didn’t know it was going to happen….
Ugh … now I have to wait until Monday to see if he gets the cereal. And WHAT KIND!?!?!
Great arc Norm.
I’m with Keith.
It’s funny but that was almost my reaction the first time my father went to jail
Good answer Gill.
